Something broken, a word you think is missing, or a question? Write to [email protected] and you will get a reply from a person.

It helps to include your device, its system version, and what you were doing: the kind of game (computer, pass and play or online) and the word you played.

Common questions

• How do I play? Drag tiles from your rack to the board, or tap a tile and then a square. Keep them in one row or column, joined to the tiles already down; every word they make must be a real word. The pill above your rack shows the score before you play.
• I pressed Play by mistake. After Play you have three seconds to tap Undo. If you prefer a question instead, turn on Settings, Confirm before playing.
• Why was my word refused? The dictionary in the game says whether any word is valid, and why. The list is a large public-domain word list with modern words added and slurs removed. Tell us about a word you think should be there.
• The computer is too easy, or too hard. Change its level at any time, even in the middle of a game, from the game menu. Match me moves the level for you.
• How does the game end? When the bag is empty each player gets one final turn, and the higher score wins. Leftover tiles do not count. In Settings you can choose equal turns instead, so both players always end with the same number of turns.
• Online games do not work. Online play uses Game Center: check you are signed in under Settings, Game Center on your device. Turns wait up to three or seven days.
• I bought Remove Ads on another device. Settings, Remove Ads, Restore purchases. Remove Ads is one payment, not a subscription.

Privacy

The short version: no account, and the game never asks to track you. It counts how it is played and reports crashes so we can fix them, and one short ad may follow some games against the computer. The full privacy policy has the detail, and the same points are in the game under Settings, Privacy.
