Privacy policy

Last updated 27 September 2026.

The short version

Daystub needs no account and shows no ads. Your dates, their titles, notes, tags and photos stay on your iPhone and iPad, and in your own iCloud if sync is on. We never see them. We do not sell data, and the app never asks to track you.

iCloud sync

With iCloud sync on (Settings, iCloud), your dates and photos are stored in your own private iCloud database, run by Apple under your Apple Account. Nubeo Studio has no access to it. Turn sync off and everything stays on the device.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google's Firebase Analytics to count how Daystub is used (for example that a date was created, whether it repeats or has a photo, which widget sizes are in use, which theme is chosen) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports. These carry an app instance identifier, the device type and system version. They never carry the title, date or notes of anything you add, your photos, or your calendar.

Photos

You choose a photo for a date with the system photo picker; Daystub never sees the rest of your library. A smaller copy is kept on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is on), and deleted with the date. Saving a shared ticket picture to your library asks your permission first.

Calendar

Import from Calendar asks to read your calendars only when you open it. The events you pick are copied into Daystub on your device. Nothing is ever written to your calendar, and nothing from it is sent to us.

Sharing

A shared link carries the date itself after the # sign (its title, emoji, colour, date and repeat). Browsers never send that part of an address to a server, so the page that shows the date reads it in the recipient's browser and we never receive it. Notes, tags and photos are never included.

Reminders and widgets

Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device. Widgets read your dates on your device. Nothing about either is sent to us.

Purchases

Plus is sold by Apple. We learn only whether Plus is owned on your Apple Account, to unlock it.

Children

Daystub is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information knowingly from them.

Your choices

Turn iCloud sync off in Settings to keep everything on one device. With Plus, Export all dates gives you your data as a file. Deleting the app removes everything on the device; your iCloud copy can be removed in the Settings app, under your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage.
