Privacy policy

The short version

Plumword needs no account. Your puzzles, solves and streaks stay on your iPhone and iPad, with a copy in your own iCloud. We do not sell data, and the app never asks to track you.

Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements use Apple's Game Center, only if you sign in from Stats. Your Game Center name and your scores are shared with other players through Apple.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google's Firebase Analytics to count how Plumword is played (for example which games are opened, how long a puzzle takes and whether hints are used) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports. These carry an app instance identifier, device type and system version, never your name, your answers or anything you type.

Advertising

One banner may appear on the Today screen and on result cards, and you may choose to watch a short ad to open an older archive day. Ads are served by Google AdMob and never appear while you play. Every request is non-personalised: the app never asks to track you and does not read the advertising identifier. AdMob may still process device information to serve, limit and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears before any ad. Full access turns every ad off.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. We learn only whether Full access is owned, to switch ads off and open the archive.

iCloud

Your solve records are kept in your own iCloud key-value storage so your iPhone and iPad agree about streaks. We cannot read it.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, it is a notification scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us.

Children

Plumword is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information knowingly from them.

Your choices

Delete my progress in Settings removes every solve and streak, here and in iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything on the device.
