It helps to include your device, its system version, and the chapter and puzzle number (or the date of the Daily Sky).

Common questions

• How do I select a word? Drag across it in any of the eight directions, or tap its first letter and then its last. Words can run backwards and diagonally.
• What are bonus words? Real words you spot in the grid that are not on the list. They fill the bonus meter, which pays out stardust when it is full.
• How do hints work? Letter rings the first letter of a word, Word shows a whole word, and Turn rotates the grid 90 degrees. Letter and Word use stardust, which you earn by solving puzzles, finishing chapters, playing the Daily Sky and filling the bonus meter; Turn never uses any.
• What is the Daily Sky? One puzzle a day, the same for everyone. When you have found every word, the leftover letters, read in order, spell a short line. Keep a daily streak; if you miss a day, the streak is mended for you once every 30 days.
• What happens after the last chapter? Deep Sky carries on with new puzzles from the same themes, without end.
• Does it need the internet? No. Every puzzle is in the app, so it works on a plane. Your progress is kept on your device and mirrored in your own iCloud, so your iPhone and iPad stay in step.
• When do ads appear? Never while you play. A small banner may sit on the Home screen and on the result card, and now and then an ad shows between puzzles, never in your first session or the first 20 puzzles. Videos that give stardust are always your choice.
• I bought Remove Ads on another device. Settings, Restore Purchases. Remove Ads is one payment, not a subscription, and it is shared with your family.

Privacy

The short version: no account, and the app never asks to track you. It counts how it is played and reports crashes so we can fix them, and ads are non-personalised. The full privacy policy has the detail.

Credits

Puzzles, theme lists, constellation drawings, sky facts, sounds and art are made by Nubeo Studio. Bonus words come from the ENABLE word list (public domain). Parts of the list that keeps unwanted words out of every grid come from the List of Dirty, Naughty, Obscene, and Otherwise Bad Words by Shutterstock and from Open English WordNet, both under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
