Privacy policy

The short version

Starfind needs no account, and we collect no personal data: no name, no email, nothing you type. Your puzzles, stars, stardust and streaks stay on your iPhone and iPad, mirrored in your own iCloud. We do not sell data, and the app never asks to track you.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google's Firebase Analytics to count how Starfind is played (for example which puzzles are started and finished, how long they take and whether hints are used) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and diagnostics. These carry an app instance identifier, device type and system version, never your name or anything you type. Test, debug and TestFlight copies of the app send no analytics at all, so the numbers we read come only from the App Store version.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdMob. A banner may appear on the Home screen and on the result card, and now and then an ad between puzzles; no ad ever appears while you play. You may choose to watch a short video for stardust. Every ad request is non-personalised: the app never shows the tracking prompt and does not use the advertising identifier for tracking. AdMob may still process device information (such as the device type and a coarse location from the network) to serve, cap and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears before any ad. Remove Ads turns off the banners and the ads between puzzles; the optional videos stay available.

In-house promotion

When no ad is available for the banner space, a small banner for another Nubeo Studio app may show there instead. Tapping it opens that app's App Store page inside Starfind. Nothing about you is sent to us.

Purchases

Purchases (Remove Ads and stardust packs) are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details; the app learns only what was bought, to switch ads off or add stardust.

Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements use Apple's Game Center and are optional: the app signs in only after you tap a Game Center button. Your Game Center name and your scores are shared with other players through Apple.

iCloud

Your progress is mirrored in your own iCloud key-value storage so your iPhone and iPad agree about your sky, stardust and streaks. It lives in your Apple account; we cannot read it.

Children

Starfind is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information knowingly from them.

Your choices

You can play without Game Center, decline consent where the consent form appears, and turn ads off with Remove Ads. Deleting the app removes everything on the device; your iCloud copy can be removed in your device's iCloud settings.
