Turnsmith
A watchmaker's bench for your puzzle cube. Copy the colours of your 3x3 or 2x2 cube face by face, and Turnsmith shows you how to solve it, one quarter turn at a time, on a 3D cube that turns just like the one in your hands. Lessons teach the beginner method, a competition-style timer keeps your times, and patterns turn a solved cube into checkerboards and flags. Every solution is worked out on your device, offline.

It helps to include your device, its system version, and which puzzle you were solving.
Common questions
- It says my colours are wrong. Turnsmith checks your colours before solving and says where the problem is: a colour counted too often, a piece that cannot exist, or two stickers that seem swapped. Tap Show me, fix the square it points at, and Solve again.
- It says a corner is twisted or an edge is flipped. That happens when a piece was turned or popped out by hand. Choose Solve the rest: Turnsmith solves everything else and then tells you exactly which piece to twist or flip with your fingers.
- Which way do I hold the cube? The cube on screen shows it before every face: keep the colour it names facing you and the other on top, and turn the whole cube the way the arrow shows.
- Does it need the internet? No. Solving, lessons, the timer and patterns all work offline. Only ads and Game Center need a connection.
- How do the timer's rules work? Hold anywhere until the digits turn green, let go to start, touch to stop. With inspection on you get 15 seconds to look first; going over adds 2 seconds, and past 17 seconds the solve is a DNF, as in competitions.
- I bought Remove Ads on another device. Settings, Restore purchase. Remove Ads is one payment, not a subscription, it unlocks every design, and it is shared with your family through Family Sharing.
Privacy
The short version: no account, nothing you enter leaves your device, and the app never asks to track you. It counts how it is used and reports crashes so we can fix them, and ads are non-personalised and suitable for all ages, never shown while you are solving. The full privacy policy has the detail.
