Windup Works
Build a toy company. Start in a garden shed with one founder and a workbench,
design toys from 31 themes and six types, win over four critics, and grow through a Workshop and
a Loft to a Campus over thirty years of fads, eras and new ways to sell. Hire and train a team,
research new ideas, build production lines, and retire with a Legacy to be proud of. The Shed
years are free to play; one purchase unlocks the Full Company. No ads, ever.
Support
Something broken, a review that feels unfair, or a question? Write to
nubeostudio@gmail.com and you
will get a reply from a person.
It helps to include your device, its system version, and the company's year.
Common questions
- Why did the critics score my toy low? Every review is judged against the
Bar, which rises each time you beat your best. The Sales Report after each release says what
helped and what hurt: the pairing of theme and type, where the team spent its time, defects,
and making the same thing twice in a row.
- Time moves too fast. The clock stops under every panel and card. Settings
has an Unhurried speed (9 seconds a week), and the pause button holds the week for as long as
you like.
- What does the Full Company unlock? The Shed years, a whole run up to the
first office move, are free. The Full Company opens the Workshop, the Loft and the Campus, and
the rest of the thirty years, for every company you start. It is one payment, not a
subscription, and it is shared with your family through Family Sharing.
- I bought the Full Company on another device. Settings or About, Restore
Purchase.
- Are my companies safe? Every company saves by itself at every month, when
a panel closes and when you leave the app, with older copies kept in case one is damaged. With
iCloud on, companies follow you to your other iPhone or iPad; if one was played on two devices,
Home asks which to keep.
- My company went bankrupt. Once per run you can rewind to the start of the
previous year and try again.
- Game Center? Optional. Leaderboards for Legacy and review streaks, and 24
achievements. The game never asks you to sign in when it starts.
Privacy
The short version: no account, no ads, and the app never asks to track you. Your companies
stay on your device and in your own iCloud. It counts how it is used and reports crashes so we
can fix them, and you can switch that off in Settings. The
full privacy policy has the detail.
