Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026.

The short version

Wordglade needs no account, and we collect no personal data: no name, no email, no words you type. Your levels, coins, bonus jar and Daily streak stay on your iPhone and iPad, mirrored in your own iCloud. We do not sell data, and the app never asks to track you.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Google's Firebase Analytics to count how Wordglade is played (for example which levels are started and finished, whether the Daily is played, whether hints are used and which screens are opened) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and diagnostics (device model, system version, the app's state when it crashed). These carry an app instance identifier, never your name or anything you type. Debug, test and TestFlight copies of the app send no analytics at all, so the numbers we read come only from the App Store version. Crash reports are kept by Google for up to 90 days; analytics events for up to 14 months.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdMob, with Google's User Messaging Platform for consent. A banner may appear on the Home screen and on the level-complete card, and now and then an ad between levels after you tap Next; no ad ever appears while you play a board. Every ad request is non-personalised and limited to ads suitable for all ages: the app never shows the tracking prompt and does not use the advertising identifier to track you. AdMob may still process device information (such as the device type, an advertising identifier, a coarse location derived from the network, and how you interact with an ad) to serve, cap, measure and protect ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form appears on the Home screen before any ad is requested, and Settings > Privacy Choices lets you change your answer. Remove Ads turns off the banners and the ads between levels.

In-house promotion

When no ad is available for a banner space, a small banner for another Nubeo Studio app may show there instead, at most once a day for each app. Tapping it, or a game under Settings > More from Nubeo, opens that app's App Store page inside Wordglade. Nothing about you is sent to us.

Purchases

Purchases (Remove Ads and coin packs) are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details; the app learns only what was bought, to switch ads off or add coins.

Game Center

Leaderboards (levels completed, best Daily streak) and achievements use Apple's Game Center and are optional. If you are already signed in to Game Center on your device, Wordglade signs in quietly from the Home screen and reports your scores; if you are not, nothing appears until you tap Sign In to Game Center in Settings, and you can always play without it. Your Game Center name and scores are shared with other players through Apple, under Apple's privacy policy.

iCloud

Your progress is mirrored in your own iCloud key-value storage so your iPhone and iPad agree about your levels, coins and streak, and a reinstall brings it back. It lives in your Apple account; we cannot read it.

Children

Wordglade is rated for all ages and its words are chosen to be family-safe. It is not directed at children under 13, collects no personal information knowingly from anyone, and shows only non-personalised ads suitable for all ages.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can play without Game Center, decline or change consent where the consent form appears (Settings > Privacy Choices), and turn ads off with Remove Ads. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device; your iCloud copy can be removed under Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Storage on your device. Analytics data is not linked to you, but you may ask us to delete what Firebase holds for your app instance by writing to us.
